Mary, skiing with a smile
Now that we're past the halfway point through our Michigan waterski season, it's time to look back and ask ourselves " did I ski as much as I'd like this season so far,and did I have fun?"
Although we haven't had the warmest ski season this year, we 've performed exellently in two waterski shows and had a few good gatherings at our new and improved island. I think I've personally skied better than I ever had, and had fun every time ( exept that one time.Check video section ).

I'm happy to see alot of skiing enthusiasm among our members this year. Newer members have made great progress, as well as seasoned members. One of our old time favorites, Jim Arp, have officially stepped out of waterski retirement. He's been spotted by the island quite frequently this year with his old KD showing good form. Welcome back Jim ! Other members even made the local papers, such as Dee Crowe.

One of our newer members, Chris, is really stepping it up this year ! He went from skiing at 30-32 mph at long line to ripping into 28 off at a solid 34 mph so far this year, by skipping out of work early or stuffing his face on the road as he forfeited a calm relaxing lunch hour for a ripp in Belleville. Thats dedication !

Another shitty skiday in Belleville, Chris ?
Our talented membership have done so much to help out this year, as well as other years. Between our island improvement, and skishows, we have showed our community that Belleville Lake Waterski Club will come through with dedicated members and spread the joy of waterskiing whatever it takes, and we always do it with a smile !..even when it's raining and only 60 degrees outside, and theres anchors to find for the skijump at the showsite !

Let's ride out the season with some good fun and great skiing ! And don't forget....have fun !
